I don’t know about you, but the approaching Spring has me craving color! That is why I am so excited to be hosting the Ewe Ewe Yarns Trunk Show featuring their yarn, Ewe So Sporty!
It is a great basic yarn in fun colors, and we have brought in all twenty of them! To celebrate the impending spring, and the fact that we wiped out so many Finished Objects in February, we are starting a new project….either Knit or Crochet! As the Knit/Crochet Along progresses, I’ll be posting some tips for working the projects!
The projects are either the Double Deco Shawl in Knit, that takes 4 Color A, 4 Color B, 1 Color C, and 1 Color D (10 balls total):
Or the Anthologie Scarf in Crochet which takes one each of 5 different colors:
To kick it off, we are offering a special on the yarn for this project through this Saturday March 12th, and then we will be Casting on this next Tuesday at Stitch Night! As the Knit/Crochet Along progresses, I’ll be posting some tips for working the projects!
If you buy 10 balls of Ewe So Sporty for the Knit version, you’ll save 15%, and if you get 5 balls for the crochet version you will save 10% off! Come on in to the store today to buy your favorite color combo, or give us a call at 417-673-2240 if you’d like to order over the phone. A few of the colors have been going quick, but we have at least one of each to play with combos, and more stock on order to arrive in time for cast on! Here are all the color options:
Not sure what color to make? The lovely folks at Ewe Ewe have given some tips on choosing colors for the Double Deco Shawl here.
Amanda, Grace & I will be making the Double Deco Shawl alongside you, and the girls have already picked out their color combos:
I, on the other hand, need a little help! I’ve come up with four combos (none of which are very surprising…ha!) and I want you to help me decide which to do! My options:
Tell me in the comments! Which combo do you think I should cast on for next week??? You should have known every combo would have greys and teal…HA!
Last, but not least, here is a timeline for the Knit project, so you know what we will be working on, and when:
Week 1 (March 15-19) Cast On
Week 2 (March 20-26) Finish Section 1 of Wings 1 & 2
Week 3 (March 27-April 2) Finish Section 2 of Wings 1 & 2
Week 4 (April 3-9) Finish Section 3 of Wings 1 & 2
Week 5 (April 10-16) Finish Section 4 of Wings 1 & 2 minus final border stripe
Week 6 (April 17-25) Work Final Stripe Border & Bind Off
April 26th we will be having a Fashion Show at Stitch Night to share all of your finished objects! Then you’ll have through April 30th to enter for prizes! Can’t wait!
