Hello Stitch Space friends! Today, I have a new video tutorial for you, showing how to do a crochet provisional cast on! This is a method that allows you to cast on with waste yarn, and then unravel the waste yarn to have live stitches to work with. It’s useful anytime you want to graft two ends together, do a 3-needle bind off, or maybe work a design that is symmetrical from the center out! Here’s the video, and if you scroll down, I’ve also got a fun announcement to share that includes a free pattern that uses this technique!
The other fun thing we have going on here at Stitch Space is the announcement of our Yarn Year Round Club!
This is a monthly subscription service that will start in January 2016 featuring a different custom yarn, pattern & surprise for each month of the year. We are getting ready to release all the details, and start accepting signups later this month. If you want to be the first on the list, you can click over to www.yarnyearround.com and signup there to be on the notification list!
As a bonus, we are including a FREE pattern download for signing up to be on the Yarn Year Round Notification List. Yay! The pattern is Strange Magic, a seamless striped cowl, that is knit on the bias, and uses a provisional cast on. Check it out on Ravelry here.
As always, happy knitting!
I cannot wait to show you what we have in store for the Yarn Year Round Club! 🙂 🙂 🙂
