Today, I have a link for you to download a free pattern! This pattern was designed by me at the end of last summer, right after we re-opened at the temporary space. I fell in LOVE with the Bella Lino Yarn, and I just had to have something made up in it!
The idea for this piece is that in the spring and summer months, you don’t necessarily need knitted things for warmth where I live, therefore, you want things that are easy to wear, don’t add bulk, and of course, fancy up your outfit a little! This design out of the linen-blend Bella Lino is perfect for this. It looks like a kerchief, but is actually a sneaky cowl! The benefits here are two-fold: No extra layer for extra warmth, and you don’t have to fuss to re-situate it constantly. (Tell me I’m not the only one forever trailing a scarf behind me!!!)
And then there is the fringe-factor…add fringe to a simple knit and it instantly becomes more eye-catching! I love a good fringe!
The name of the pattern, Among the Wildflowers, is inspired by one of my favorite Tom Petty songs. If you haven’t heard it, look it up 😉
Yesterday, this pattern was published for FREE by Classic Elite Yarns in their web-letter! So, go download your copy from their website, and be sure to check out the design on Ravelry! While you’re there, make sure you add it to your favorites and your queue if you’re ready to make one. I’d also love to see your finished object photos in the projects area!
We have three new colors of this yarn in stock at Stitch Space, as well as a few favorites from last year’s colors! Grace even worked up a sample in one of the new colors and it is gorgeous! Give us a call if you’d like to purchase some of the Bella Lino and have us ship it your way: 417-673-2240
It is so exciting to see my designs getting out into the world! If you’d like to see more of my patterns, you can check out my Ravelry page here. There are a few more freebies, like the patterns from the My Mountain contest: the Chevron Stripe Cowl-Kerchief, the Neon Bump Slouch Hat, and the Go, Fight, Win, Team! Cowl. You’ll also find some for purchase like my favorite, Sunset Sky, designed in our SweetGeorgia custom color! Make sure you favorite any of the designs you like, and share with your knitting friends!
Thanks for coming along for the journey into design world! I hope you enjoy making the patterns as much as I have enjoyed designing them!
