Thursdays September 12, October 10, November 14, & December 12 6-7:30 PM

Cable_Knitting_Class-1

This is a four part class, starting this Thursday.  You will learn various cable techniques, as well as how to seam up a sweater knit in pieces!  It works up quickly in Bulky weight yarn, and larger needles.  There is some advance homework required, so if you are still considering taking this class, you will most likely want to sign up and get supplies today or tomorrow!

Ravelry Workshop $10

Saturday September 14, 11 AM-12 PM

The Ravelry workshop is going to be a great chance to learn Ravelry from scratch, or learn how to take advantage of your existing account.  We will cover how to track your projects, browse for new patterns, help find yarn substitutes, and much much more!  You can bring your own tablet, e-reader, or laptop to take full advantage of this session.

Stranded_Knitting_Class-1

This is a two session class where we will learn stranded knitting and make this stylish reversible cowl.  Stranded knitting has many design possibilities where you can carry two colors of yarn on one row.  Just imagine the fair-isle sweaters, fancy mittens, and fabulous color combos you could introduce to your knitting!  In the first session we will learn the two-handed stranded technique, and in session two, you will learn how to wrap your longer floats on the back of the work to keep it neat & tidy!

Mitten_Knitting_Class-1

Have you been intimidated by double point needles?  Well, mittens are the perfect project to break the ice with!  In this class we will make basic mittens with a thumb gusset.  You get to choose worsted, bulky, or super-bulky weight yarn, so you are in control of how fast they knit up!  These make great gifts, and once you get the hang of it, you can easily make a mitten in one evening.  That’s 3.5 pairs a week!  Christmas Mittens for all!!!

Learn to read Lace Charts $30

Thursday October 24 6-7:30 PM

Choose your own adventure with this class!  Bring a charted lace project to get started on, or start the Meadowsweet Shawl from The Fibre Co.  We will go over what all those crazy symbols on a lace chart mean, how to keep your place, and how to work repeats.  We’ll also share some helpful tips for knitting lace, and tools that can make your life easier!
