Yarns of Summer – Manos del Uruguay Serena

I just have one more “Yarn of Summer” to share with you before a little surprise tomorrow.  Be sure to check back on the blog & Facebook pages for a fun announcement!

Manos del Uruguay has always produced beautiful yarns in stunning colorways.  One of their yarns that we carry at Stitch Space is Serena.

Serena is a light Sport weight yarn in a 60% Alpaca, 40% Cotton blend.  Suuuuuper soft!  We have six solid colors and 4 multicolor yarns in stock.Manos_Serena-1 There are even some great FREE patterns on the Manos website.  I think the Serena Shadow shawl would be gorgeous made up in the Pink solid, and Wildflowers multicolor shown below:

Manos_Serena-2There is also a great crochet shawl pattern, the Augusta Shawl.  I can see it made up in the Green & Blue colorways!  I myself am just itching to cast on the Dahlia Cardigan that was in Interweave Knits Fall 2011.  It looks like a perfect little transitional piece for those rainy evenings, or right into Fall.  Maybe after I make some progress on Fall samples I’ll have to get started!

Don’t forget to check back here or on the Facebook page tomorrow for an announcement!
